Educational Eligibility

To become an IPS , your educational qualification should be Graduation,which can be completed from any discipline or class. After graduation you UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) UPSC conducted by ICS (Indian Civil Service) organized under the IPS of the need to pass the exam.

Age ( Age Limit) -

To become an IPS officer, the general class should be between 21 years to 32 years of age and SC and ST students get 5 years leave and obc class gets 3 years.

Height should be at least 165 cm for general category and backward caste (OBC) men and at least 160 cm for other SC and ST classes. And the chest length should be 84 cm.

 Body length should be at least 150 cm for women of general category and backward caste and at least 145 cm for SC and ST. And the chest length of women should be 79 cm.

Vision of the eye ( Eye Vision ) -

Vision of healthy eyes should be 6/6 or 6/9 and vision of weak eyes should be 6/12 or 6/9.

Numbers Of Attempts -

General class candidates (6) times, very backward classes (9) times, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (No Limit) can attend the examination, more often than not there will be an opportunity to appear in the exam.

There are two stages of written examination-

Preliminary Examination ( Preliminary E Xam) K

Main Examination (M ain E xam).

Preliminary Examination ( Preliminary Exam ) -

First of all, you have to apply for Preliminary Examination . It consists of 2 papers which are of 200-200 marks. You have to pass this exam. After passing this exam, you have to apply for the M ains Exam .

How to become an IAS Officer?

After the test ( Mains Exam must pass).

Main Examination (M ain E xam) -

There are total 9 Papers in the main examination . Which is a written exam which Qualifying Paper (1)there is an Indian language , including English Language  includes 300 points of,  Qualifying Paper (2) English (300) Language (Language)both in the 25% Qualifying Papers -25% It is mandatory to score .

Paper (1) (Essay) - 250 Marks (Marks)

Paper (2) (General Studies) 4- paper (4 × 250) points (Marks )
Paper (3) 2-Paper (2 × 250) Marks of Optional Subject
Personality Test- 275 marks (Marks)

(Total (Main Exam) + Personality Test) Marks = 2025 Marks

Interview ( Interview) -

IPS Officers Responsibilities ( Power of IPS Officers) -

  • After becoming an IPS officer, he takes up his responsibilities. Along with maintaining the security system of the city, they do many other tasks.
  • IPS Officers work closely with and also instruct CBI, Intelligence Buero , Indian Security Guard, CRPF, BSF and ITBP (Indo-Tibet Army) .
  • An IPS officer is responsible for the protection of people as well as government property.

IPS officer's salary ( Salary Of IPS Officer) -

IPS officers are paid according to their respective positions. The salary of Director General of Police (DGP) is 80,000 thousand. They do not get any grade pay. Auditional Director General of Police (ADGP) Cavetan is 37,400 -67,000 and has a grade pay of 12000 .

The salary of Inspector General of Police (IGP) is 37,400-67,000 and their grade pay is 10,000. Depty Inspector General of Police (DIGP)salary is 37,400-67000. And their grade pay is 8,900. The salary of Senior Suprident of Police (SSP) is also similar to that of DIGP and the grade pay is 8,700.
